STALLION SERVICE CONTRACT FOR FROZEN SEMEN of VPrH Apollon

1. Gestüt Falkenhorst agrees to provide Buyer with _____ doses of frozen semen from the stallion VPrH Apollon in exchange for a fee of 500 Euro per insemination dose, payable to Gestüt Falkenhorst.

2. All costs of shipping the frozen semen will be borne by mare owner.

3. The frozen semen fees are payable upon execution of this contract. Buyer specifically agrees and understands that no semen will be shipped until all fees have been paid.

4. The semen MUST be administered by a licensed Veterinarian familiar with the concept and practical use of frozen equine semen. Your mare must be present at your Veterinarian's facility or a qualified insemination station during her cycle and she must be bred there. Attempts to use frozen semen outside the controlled situation of a qualified facility can greatly reduce, or even prevent, chances of conception.

5. We will provide detailed thawing and usage instructions for the Veterinarian. A “dose” of frozen semen is defined as a single insemination unit which includes a minimum of 500 million total sperm. Insemination certificates will be provided to the Veterinarian. Breeding certificates will be issued to EACH mare upon Gestüt Falkenhorst’s receipt of all properly completed and signed paperwork from the attending Veterinarian. Buyer agrees to hold harmless Gestüt Falkenhorst and/or any semen distribution agents for Gestüt Falkenhorst for any injury or illness to mares associated in any way with the insemination of frozen semen provided by Gestüt Falkenhorst. Buyer specifically understands that Gestüt Falkenhorst makes no guarantees or warranty as to the fertilizing capacity of any semen provided under the terms of this contract, either expressed or implied, however, known conception rates will be relayed to Buyer, and are given in good faith.

6. All stallions in the frozen semen program have been tested NEGATIVE for C.E.M., E.V.A., DOURINE, GLANDERS, PIROPLASMOSIS and E.I.A.

7. Mare owner is responsible for ascertaining their mare's registry requirements for the use of frozen semen and subsequent registration of foals conceived through the use of frozen semen. All stallions in our frozen semen program are blood and/or DNA typed. To enable us to establish a correct breeding certificate we need a complete copy of the registration papers applicable to the mare/s to be bred with the frozen semen. We highly recommend a recent cervical culture and/or uterine biopsy (suggested for barren mares or maiden mares over the age of 3 years, or any mare that has a history of breeding problems or was unable to conceive the previous breeding season.) We also need the name, address and phone number of the equine Veterinarian that will be responsible for inseminating the mare.

8. Please note that the semen will be shipped ONLY directly to the Veterinarian.
